Why cleared and critical infrastructure hiring is different
Eligibility comes first
If a role needs a security clearance, citizenship and sponsorship shape the talent pool before skills do. Settle what the role genuinely needs, and whether you'll sponsor, before the search starts.
Discretion matters
Many strong security candidates are not on the market and don't publicise what they work on. Approaches need to be quiet and specific, and clearance details stay private.
Consent before any CV goes out
Every candidate agrees to be put forward for your specific role before you see their CV. That protects them, and it protects you from duplicate or unauthorised introductions.
